To make your stay in Normandy as pleasant as possible, the campsite les Bords de l'Aure has great facilities and offers you a wifi connection so that you can stay in touch with your friends and family.
On site you will also find a relaxation room and a launderette with washing machines and tumble dryers.
In the summer season, food-trucks regularly come to the campsite in the evening. In the centre of Bayeux, just a few minutes’ walk away, you will also find many shops and restaurants.
For the enjoyment of adults and children, a playground, sports fields and ping-pong tables are at your disposal.
Situated a few kilometres from the beaches and key D-Day sites in Normandy (Arromanches, Longues-sur-Mer), Bayeux is a historical city. The museums and the old town tell the story of William the Conqueror - through the Bayeux Tapestry - and the Battle of Normandy in the summer of 1944.
Liberated very early after the landing of the Allies, Bayeux and the Bessin region suffered little damage during the Battle of Normandy. Just like the medieval heritage of Bayeux, the pretty villages, abbeys and fortified farms were preserved, lendind bucolic charm to this little corner of Calvados. The coastline offers in turns long sandy beaches and tall rugged cliffs.
