Museum of the Tapestry
The Story of William the Conqueror
The Bayeux Tapestry is an embroidery – 70 meters long by 50 cm high – which recounts the invasion of England by William the Conqueror in 1066. The Tapestry is listed World Heritage by UNESCO. Through this unique work, the museum allows visitors to relive the epic story of the Duke of Normandy and his accession to the throne of England after he fought victoriously at the Battle of Hastings.
