The campsite les Bords de l'Aure associates the joys of an outdoor vacation and the assets of a popular and lively little town. Whilst set in a green environment, the campsite is in fact only a few minutes’ walk from the historical centre of the city of Bayeux.
On this quiet and shady park, 137 pitches, 61 of which are dedicated to campervans, allow you to stay with your tent, caravan or camper. You can also rent one of our 10 mobile homes.
The team at Les Bords de l'Aure welcomes you with a smile and is at your disposal to make your holiday in Calvados a pleasant one. On site you will find a wifi connection and a bread deposit.
Users of the campsite benefit from a free access to the Aquatic Center AUREO, situated next to the campsite. You can also enjoy a beautiful walk along the banks of the river Aure which runs along the campsite and leads you from the centre of Bayeux to the neighbouring countryside.
Situated a few kilometres from the beaches and key D-Day sites in Normandy (Arromanches, Longues-sur-Mer), Bayeux is a historical city. The museums and the old town tell the story of William the Conqueror - through the Bayeux Tapestry - and the Battle of Normandy in the summer of 1944.
Liberated very early after the landing of the Allies, Bayeux and the Bessin region suffered little damage during the Battle of Normandy. Just like the medieval heritage of Bayeux, the pretty villages, abbeys and fortified farms were preserved, lendind bucolic charm to this little corner of Calvados. The coastline offers in turns long sandy beaches and tall rugged cliffs.
